During your stay, guests have free access to the château’s park—a peaceful haven ideal for leisurely strolls. Beyond the estate’s gates lies a preserved green sanctuary dotted with majestic trees: Virginia tulip trees, sweetgum, Italian poplars, Atlas and Lebanon cedars, cypresses… Each species tells its own story, like the centuries-old chestnut tree, a living witness of the Ancien Régime. In the orchard, apples, pears, plums, cherries, currants, and figs are yours for the picking. Verbena, mint, rosemary, and sage grow naturally across the grounds.

The gentle murmur of water accompanies every step. As the last flowing spring of the Massif Central, clear water from an 18th-century fountain—sculpted with artichokes and shells—runs down the park’s natural slope, reappears at the Virgin’s fountain, then flows into a stone basin where guests can cool off on hot summer days. It resurfaces again at the Miraculous Fountain before finally feeding the pond. The gardens, lined with white roses, invite quiet contemplation, enlivened by birdsong and the soft rustle of leaves.

Just three kilometers away, the lake at Nantheuil welcomes swimmers for open-water bathing.

Breakfast is served in the medieval kitchen, which opens onto the garden.
